Regarding the future cost of stuff, something to think about, and in the “vomit inducing” department…
I’m currently reading “Flight of the Shearwater” which is the second book in the Sturmtaucher Trilogy by Alan Jones and I can only describe it as riveting.
The sailing within the story is first rate and we’re right in the middle of “Riddle of the Sands” territory on steroids. Throw in that the historical content is spot on and the trilogy very much parallels with our current clusterfuck.
Seriously, a book I can’t put down.
