Folks up in Florida should be some kind of nervous…
Down here it’s been fairly calm and while Beryl nailed the Grenadines and we had Ernesto kick some butt here in America’s Paradise, it’s mostly been benign weather wise. Fact is, the last few days have been mostly windless and a stiff breeze would be no bad thing as it’s hot and humid..
Still, while every day now lessens the chances of getting an “H” ting here, it only takes one bad storm to ruin your day/week/month/year and I’ll be nervous right up till Thanksgiving.
Of course, there’s that other juggernaut fueled by stupidity and hate that will come to fruition or failure come November 5th and, while I still can’t believe folks will vote the dark side, I could be wrong and that’s a depressing thought. It all depends on the course of the excrement as it approaches those rotating blades.
That said, mostly being a guy who sees the glass half full, I spend a fair amount of time planning our next Thanksgiving dinner menu which hopefully will entail a celebratory drink or two.
