So, apparently, Sunday was the hottest day on record ever. Not exactly a warm and fuzzy milestone and something you might want to reflect on the fact that, sooner rather than later, there will be a new record set. It’s getting warmer.
As it happens, having recently added the old Bimini to the local landfill I’ve been mulling the idea of dodger, Bimini, T-top or combination of some sort. The problem, for me at least, is that dodgers/Biminis/T-tops all have some serious drawbacks where sailing is concerned. For starters they’re somewhat fugly and get in the way of sailing and getting in and out of the cockpit.
Which has had me looking for a minimal dodger, more or less than the one the Pardey’s had on their Talesin which they said was “agricultural”. Another user of the Pardey design recently had a great article on dodgers that is well worth checking out.
Now I just need to get my hands on some PVC pipe…
