An explanation of sorts, the continuing war on science, and ICE in the Caribbean…
This morning when I did my daily look around the anchorage, I saw a very pretty Dana coming in. You know, the Crealock-designed pocket cruiser from Pacific Seacraft.

Obviously, what constitutes ‘pretty’ depends a lot on one’s personal perspective. Hell, some folks even think condomarans are attractive but, I suspect, that they’re not looking at the boat but the shit-pile of cash it represents. Anyway, in my mind the Dana is an exceptional example in form follows function and, as such, a very pretty addition to any anchorage.
The Dana, however, is outside the budget parameters of the price one would spend for a VolksCruiser.. That said, it’s a good example of how to put a lot of boat into a small envelope and it’s design is a great resource when refitting or doing a rehab on more affordable classic plastic designs.

All in all, a Dana would be a pretty asset to any anchorage.
An old mate had a Bruce Roberts Tom Thumb 24 in steel, and fitted her out with the same layout. If not cruising in the tropics, a shower in the heads is a real luxury.
