An important cartography lesson, something regarding homelessness, and, as someone born and bred in Los Angeles, I found this post rather compelling…
Time’s a funny thing. It seems like just yesterday when we were in Las Palmas provisioning for our transatlantic crossing to Martinique aboard LM2. This morning, I woke up thinking that I need to start doing some serious planning about provisions for, what I hope to be, a very long voyage.
Of course, things are different now. For instance, book trading is no longer a ‘thing’ which worries me a bit as almost all of our social interaction was fueled by book trading. Then again, being that these days I tend to be a lot less social and working towards my Curmudgeon merit badge. On the plus side, I do have a very well endowed Kindle.
I expect, that cruising is going to be a whole lot different as the excrement and rotating blades continue to do their thing on what likely appears to be an infinite fixture in our day to day lives.
So, yeah, today I’ll be thinking of provisions and doing a bit of research on a small heater and where the fuck to install such a beast.
Change, as they say, is on the wind and not the same old same at all…
Cartography link didn’t work.
All fixed now… Sorry.
