I mostly spent yesterday watching the wall to wall coverage of the impending hurricane Milton. What I should have been doing was installing a couple of vents on the Islander. The main take-away from the media coverage is that 99% of the folks involved did not really understand hurricanes or ‘grok’ the nature of killer storms and their affect on those of us in their path and aftermath.
On the positive side, yesterday’s media seemed to, mostly, ignore the orange asshole so that was a positive spinoff of Milton.
On another tack, Classic Boat has a pretty good article on Proas that is well worth checking out.
Which leaves me needing to cut some backing rings for those vents today.
